Zachariah Larson, Esq.

Zachariah Larson specializes in all areas of consumer and business bankruptcy, representing both debtors and creditors.  Mr. Larson also represents the Clark County Public Guardian.  In addition, he has significant experience in real estate litigation and corporate formation.  Mr. Larson represents a diverse clientele of land developers, commercial businesses, startup companies, and business owners. Mr. Larson was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa.  His family moved to Loveland, Colorado when he was a child.  Mr. Larson received his Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from Colorado State University in 1998.  In 2001, Mr. Larson received his Juris Doctorate from Pepperdine University, School of Law and was also admitted to the Nevada State Bar.  Mr. Larson ran his own successful law firm for almost eight years prior to joining Marquis Aurbach Coffing as “Of Counsel” in January of 2012. On June 1, 2013 Mr. Larson joined forces with Matthew C. Zirzow in order to combine their big firm experience into the boutique law firm, Larson & Zirzow. By doing so, Mr. Larson can provide clients with more individualized, “hands on” attention.


On October 30, 2017, Kory Kaplan joined as a partner to Larson & Zirzow to form Larson Zirzow & Kaplan, and created an environment to better serve a vast array of clientele. 


Mr. Larson has been recognized by the Nevada Business Magazine as one of the Top 100 Attorneys in Southern Nevada in 2011, a Mountain States Super Lawyer 2011, a Mountain States Rising Star 2010, a Mountain States Rising Star 2009, and one of Nevada Rising Stars in 2008.  Mr. Larson has obtained the most prestigious AV Preeminent rating with Martindale-Hubbell.  AV Preeminent is a significant rating accomplishment – a testament to the fact that a lawyer’s peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence. Mr. Larson has served on the Board of Directors of the Clark County Bar Association (“CCBA”) from 2005 until 2011, when Mr. Larson served as President of the Clark County Bar Association until January of 2012.


He has also served on numerous CCBA and Clark County Law Foundation (“CCLF”) committees, including Trial By Peers, New Attorneys, and Community Service.  He is currently a member of the American Bar Association’s House of Delegates and a Life Fellow with the Fellows of the American Bar Foundation.  He is a past member of and was a yearly instructor for the State Bar of Nevada’s Ethics and Professional Responsibility Committee for several years.  Mr. Larson was also selected to be a member of the U.S. District Court of Nevada’s Bankruptcy Local Rules Committee and a member of the U.S. District Court of Nevada’s CM/ECF Committee.  Mr. Larson has acted as an Arbitrator and Mediator for the State Bar of Nevada Fee Dispute Committee.  Mr. Larson is also a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute and the Southern Nevada Bankruptcy Attorneys.


Mr. Larson splits his time between Sin City and Berthoud, Colorado where he resides with his lbetter half, Shara Larson, his three sons, and his two dogs.
